Privacy Policy

1. Introduction and scope
Reliever, Inc. ("Reliever," "we," "us" or "our") provides financial operations software and related services for youth sports organizations, including bookkeeping, reporting, compliance and spend management tools (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share information when you visit reliever.ai and our other websites (the "Sites"), contact us, or use the Services.
Customer data. Our customers are organizations. When a customer uses the Services, it may upload or connect information about its members, families, coaches, volunteers, vendors and transactions ("Customer Data"). We process Customer Data on behalf of the customer, under our agreement with that customer. The customer decides what Customer Data to provide and how it is used. If you are a member of an organization that uses Reliever and have questions about your information, please contact that organization first.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to or that customers connect to the Services.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, organization name, title or role, and login credentials.
- Inquiries and communications: information you submit through forms on the Sites, in emails, in support requests, or when you schedule a call or demo.
- Onboarding and verification information: information needed to open accounts or issue cards, such as the organization's EIN, legal documents, and identity information for authorized officers and cardholders. Some of this may be collected directly by our banking partners.
- Billing information: billing contact and payment details for our fees.
Customer Data. Financial records, transactions, bank and card activity, budgets, receipts, rosters, vendor and contractor information, and tax and regulatory filing information that customers upload, connect or create in the Services. See Section 1 for how we treat Customer Data.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, and the dates and times of visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from our banking and payment partners, identity verification providers, integrations a customer chooses to connect (for example, accounting or registration software), and business contacts or referral partners.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain and support the Services, including preparing books, reports and filings for customers.
- Open and manage accounts and cards with our banking partners, verify identity, and meet anti-money-laundering, know-your-customer and other legal requirements.
- Process payments and bill for our fees.
- Respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and send service and administrative messages.
- Send marketing and product updates about Reliever. You can opt out at any time (see Section 9).
- Understand how the Sites and Services are used, and improve them.
- Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, security incidents and misuse.
- Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights and safety of Reliever, our customers and others.
We use Customer Data only to provide the Services to the customer and as the customer agreement allows. We may create aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify any person or organization, and use it to operate and improve the Services.
We do not use Customer Data to train third-party artificial intelligence models.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels and similar technologies on the Sites to:
- Operate the Sites (strictly necessary): keep the Sites secure, remember your choices, and keep you signed in.
- Analytics: understand how visitors find and use the Sites, such as which pages are viewed and how long visits last.
- Marketing: recognize returning visitors, connect website activity to form submissions, and measure our marketing emails.
We use HubSpot for website analytics, forms and marketing email. HubSpot sets cookies on our behalf. You can learn more in HubSpot's cookie documentation.
Your choices. A banner on the Sites tells you about our use of cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Sites work.
We do not currently use cookies for third-party advertising or retargeting. We will update this Policy before we do.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only as described below:
- Banking and payment partners: Partner Bank, banking-as-a-service provider, card networks and payment processors, to open and operate accounts and cards, process transactions, and meet legal requirements.
- Service providers: companies that help us run our business, such as hosting, software development, customer relationship management (including HubSpot), email, identity verification, analytics, customer support and professional advisers. They may use information only to perform services for us.
- Government agencies, at the customer's direction: tax and regulatory filings we prepare for a customer, such as IRS Form 990 or state gambling returns, are submitted to the relevant agency.
- Independent accounting firms, at the customer's direction: when a customer engages an independent firm for an audit or review, we share the books and records the customer authorizes.
- Integrations the customer connects: third-party apps a customer chooses to link to the Services.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, subpoenas or court orders; to respond to lawful requests from public authorities; or to protect the rights, property or safety of Reliever, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets or similar transaction, subject to confidentiality obligations.
- With consent: in any other case where you or the customer direct us to share information.
6. Information about children
The Sites and Services are intended for adults acting on behalf of organizations. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Our customers serve youth athletes. A customer may upload information about minors, such as names on a roster or registration payments, as part of its Customer Data. We process that information only on the customer's behalf and under our agreement with the customer. Parents or guardians with questions about a child's information should contact the organization. If you believe we have collected information directly from a child under 13, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy. That includes providing the Services, meeting legal, tax, banking and regulatory record-keeping requirements, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. We retain Customer Data as set out in the customer agreement. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the affected customer as required by law.
9. Your choices
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us. We will still send service and account messages.
- Cookies: see Section 4.
- Access, correction and deletion: you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us. If the information is Customer Data, we will refer your request to the organization that controls it, and help that organization respond. We may need to verify your identity, and we may keep information where the law requires it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on the Sites and change the effective date above. If we make material changes, we will give notice, such as by email or a notice in the Services.
