Built By People Who've Closed The Books On A Folding Table
Most of the investment in youth sports technology has gone to what families see and ask for: registration, scheduling, communication, stats, and video streaming. Far less has reached the back office.
That gap falls hardest on the treasurer. Usually that's a working parent tracking a year's finances from the stands. One treasurer can give hundreds of hours a year to the job. When the board turns over every couple of years, much of what they know is lost and rebuilt from scratch.
Jason Campana, our Co-Founder and CEO, has sat in those same stands. He's spent years coaching and volunteering inside youth sports associations. For more than 15 years, his day job has been building and running software companies. He joined Wellbeats near its earliest days, led operations, and helped build it to a successful exit in 2022. Then he served as COO and later CEO of LifeSpeak, which acquired Wellbeats. Years in the stands and years running companies convinced him the back office was the hardest problem in youth sports.
"I spend my own nights and weekends at the rink and the ballfield, so I've seen firsthand how much these volunteers take on. The people running these organizations are capable professionals who are used to having modern systems support them at work, and then they step into a volunteer treasurer or board role where none of that exists. Reliever gives them that support, so the focus can return to the kids and the sports."
We started with the treasurer of our own local hockey association, Collin Bushman of the Stillwater Area Youth Hockey Association. Then we took what we learned to associations across every sport. We heard the same thing back, almost word for word.
Every bullpen has a reliever: the one who comes in when the game is on the line. That's the role we built this company to play for your back office: we don't replace your board, your CPA, or your studio's owner. We come in and close it out cleanly, every season.

Your data, walled off
Every organization's data is isolated at the account level. Your association's numbers are never visible to, or mixed with, anyone else's.
How matching works
Every bank transaction is compared against your categorized spend using a rules engine; anything below a confidence threshold is flagged for a person to review by hand rather than posted automatically. Nothing is categorized silently.
