Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do we still need our existing bank?

No. Reliever's operating account and team-level cards are designed to replace your organization's existing bank account, not sit alongside it.

Do you replace our registration platform (SportsEngine, TeamSnap, and similar)?

No. Keep the registration and scheduling tool your teams already use. Reliever handles the money once it's collected: registration fees land in your Reliever account as a deposit, the same way they'd hit your bank today.

Do we still need a bookkeeper or CPA?

You might not, once the books stay current all season. If you already work with a CPA at tax time, Reliever exports clean, categorized records they can use. You don't have to end that relationship.

We already use QuickBooks or Excel. Can we bring our history with us?

Yes. Our Partnership Team helps import your existing transaction history during setup, so you're not starting from zero.

What about state-level filings beyond the federal 990?

Some states require additional charitable-registration filings on top of the federal 990. Reliever's compliance calendar currently tracks federal deadlines; state-specific tracking is on our roadmap.

What if our organization isn't a nonprofit?

Reliever works for nonprofit associations, for-profit clubs and studios, PE-backed operators, and sports tech partners. The books, banking, and compliance calendar adjust to your structure.

What if our board doesn't have reliable internet access?

Reliever works from any phone or computer with a browser, and approvals take a couple of taps from a phone. A dedicated low-connectivity or offline mode isn't built yet. If that's a regular situation for your organization, tell us when you reach out.
